Artist's Statement
Bonnie is a self-taught watercolorist who paints for the love of it. She uses bright hues to express landscapes and the flora and fauna of the natural world.
Bonnie paints on location in Yosemite twice a year for inspiration – to capture both the spring and autumn light and colors. And she paints along the California coast throughout the year - weather permitting. Her studio paintings are based on a large collection of photographs that she shot while traveling throughout the U.S., Canada, Mexico, Europe & Japan.
Bonnie lives in Half Moon Bay and shows her paintings in juried competition with the California Watercolor Association, Pacific Arts League and Coastal Arts League and exhibits paintings in member shows sponsored by Santa Clara Valley Watercolor Society.
