Artist's Statement
A fourth generation Californian, Judy was born in Long Beach and grew up in the coastal town of Santa Barbara. Her love of the outdoors has been nurtured by the beauty of her state from the sea to the Sierras. Since early childhood, painting has been a way of “seeing” for Judy, as she watched and participated while her mother taught painting classes. University training brought more serious involvement in art for Judy, resulting in a bachelors degree in Fine Arts and graduate work at San Jose State University. As a freelance artist, Judy has painted and drawn in all mediums. Her work is represented in private and public collections. She has been the guest artist at several one-person, privately sponsored art shows, as well as an artistic consultant for home and business concerns.
