Situated in the historic Niles area the Train Depot Museum was built as an actual train depot by the Southern Pacific Railroad in 1901. The building has been moved from its original location and is now part of Niles Town Plaza. The building has ornate columns, a bright red train caboose next door, and views of the hills behind. There are also plenty of street views and other buildings to capture our interest and help us practice our perspective skills.
Directions: From 880 Hwy North in Fremont, exit at Stevenson Blvd. Turn right on Stevenson and go 3.2 miles. Turn left onto Mission Blvd and go 1.4 miles. Turn left onto Niles Blvd and go 0.4 miles. Parking for Train Depot Museum is on your right at the junction with i Street.
