We have special permission to paint on the grounds of Maryknoll. This magnificent complex, including a chapel, was built in 1926 as a Catholic seminary for students preparing to enter the Maryknoll order. In the mid 1970’s it was converted to a residence for retired Brothers. The architecture contains Spanish mission, Baroque, and Oriental influences. There are also vistas of Rancho San Antonio CP and the surrounding hills.
Washrooms in the main building. A mask is required to enter building’s washroom.
Directions: Take 280 to Foothill Blvd. and go south. Turn right at the first right, Cristo Rey Drive, and go about 1 mile. Go past the entrance to Rancho San Antonio (on your left), then turn right into the Maryknoll rear entrance. Park in the first parking lot on your right. Walk on the path toward the chapel and campanile.
Attendance: Attendance is free and is open to all SCVWS members.
