Artist Bio
Nina Leone Bricker grew up in Philadelphia, PA., where she received a BFA from Moore College of Art. She now resides in the Santa Cruz Mountains of Los Gatos, CA.
She worked in advertising and design firms as an illustrator and designer, as well as an account executive. Nina substitute teaches in public and private schools and has instructed classes in quilting design and art. She is also currently teaching adult drawing classes at Los Gatos-Saratoga Adult Dept of Recreation.
Artist Statement
As a fine artist, the art I create is a personal response to the subject, whether due to its beauty or its whimsy. I am often drawn to visions in nature, and human or animal personalities that bring out the response of a smile or giggle. In many cases, the subject itself dictates the medium I will use to develop my imagined result, whether it is presented in paint, pastels, pencil, etc.
